Choose the topic you’re concerned about and open its information page before requesting an appointment. Each page explains what the condition is, when it is monitored and when treatment may be considered, as well as the limits of public information: no article can decide on treatment for you.
The guides cover neurological emergencies, assessment and second opinions, aneurysms and other lesions of the brain’s blood vessels, stroke, degenerative spine conditions, head or spinal cord trauma, tumors and hydrocephalus, and trigeminal neuralgia.
If someone suddenly loses strength, speech, or vision, or suffers a serious injury, do not look here: call 911 or go to the emergency department. The appointment is for cases that can wait until a visit.
